A seven-year-old boy attacked by a Doberman in Aberdeen remains in a "satisfactory" condition, hospital staff have said.

The boy was bitten on the face outside Somerfield at Sclattie Park in Bucksburn on Wednesday afternoon.

He was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital with facial injuries.

Grampian Police said the dog's owner had been identified, and appealed for witnesses as they continued inquiries.
