Opponents aiming to bunker Trump

Donald Trump
Mr Trump believes it will be the world's greatest course

Opponents of Donald Trump's plans for a £1bn golf resort in Aberdeenshire are to meet to discuss ways of possibly bunkering the bid.

The US tycoon has vowed to build the world's greatest golf venue at Menie.

The Trump Organisation insists the approved application has strong support from people right across the country.

However a new Tripping Up Trump protest group, meeting on Monday evening, argues the tycoon's proposals are legally and environmentally flawed.

The plans for two championship golf courses, 950 holiday homes and 500 houses were rejected by an Aberdeenshire Council committee before being called in by the Scottish Government and approved.
