Aberdeen to Liverpool link starts

A new air link is to be opened between Aberdeen and Liverpool, it has been announced.

Regional airline Eastern Airways is to begin flights from Dyce to John Lennon Airport three times each weekday from July.

The route has been inactive since Ryanair stopped its service between the two cities in 2007.

Eastern Airways said it was also increasing the frequency of its Aberdeen to Southampton flights.

Aberdeen Airport managing director Kevin Brown said: "This is great news for passengers."
