The funerals of three more of the victims of the North Sea helicopter disaster, including the young co-pilot, have been held.

Richard Menzies, 24, from Droitwich Spa, and passengers Warren Mitchell, 38, of Oldmeldrum, and Brian Barkley, 30, originally from Ballymoney, died.

They were among the 16 men who lost their lives when the Super Puma crashed off the Aberdeenshire coast on 1 April.

The cause of the crash is being probed by investigators.

Tributes were paid to a "loving family man" as hundreds of relatives, friends and colleagues of father-of-four Mr Mitchell gathered in Aberdeen to pay their respects.

Mr Menzies' father said after his death: "We are hugely proud of Richard and the life he led. He was a charming and charismatic man the loss of whom will be felt by many."

Mr Barkley's family said his death had left the "biggest of holes in our hearts".

A statement said: "To us he was a wonderful son, brother and fiancé."

Mr Menzies worked for Bond Offshore Helicopters, Mr Mitchell for Weatherford UK Limited, and Mr Barkley had been working for KCA Deutag Drilling Limited in Aberdeen.
