Amy Macdonald and Sandi Thom
Amy Macdonald and Sandi Thom have enjoyed chart success

Scottish singers Amy Macdonald and Sandi Thom will lead Aberdeen's Hogmanay party celebrations, it has been announced.

They will be joined at the Castlegate by Keith Jack, a finalist in television's Any Dream Will Do contest.

Aberdeen City Council said the "fantastic" line-up would reinforce Aberdeen's reputation as a key destination to celebrate Hogmanay.

Acts will start at 2100 GMT and entry is free.

Entry will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
