Bus strike postponed after talks

Stagecoach staff have already held strike action

Industrial action is still on hold after talks between union negotiators representing Stagecoach bus drivers and company management.

The T&G Unite union had called off a one-day strike earlier this week to allow the talks to go ahead.

Previous action hit school bus services in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.

Wednesday's talks have concluded and the details will be taken back to members, followed by meetings over the next week.

The dispute is over levels of pay, with union members seeking a near 10% increase.

The company earlier said it had awarded all of its 650 drivers a 4.5% rise.
