Teenager charged over park attack

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with a serious assault on another teenager in an Aberdeen park.

The victim, also a 17-year-old male, was stabbed during the incident in the Persley Crescent area on 12 November at about 1530 BST.

He was taken to hospital where he was said to be in a stable condition.

Officers cordoned off the park while a search was carried out. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal and the boy was due to appear in court.
