Quentin Adams has been missing for a week

Police have stopped traffic and passers-by one week after the disappearance of a man in Banchory.

Quentin Adams, 40, was last seen on Silverbank Crescent about 1230 GMT last Thursday and concern is growing.

Posters of Mr Adams are also being placed around the town in the hope of jogging memories.

Grampian Police said he is slim, 6ft 1in tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a black waterproof hooded jacket and blue jeans.

Sgt Kenneth Lee said: "We are becoming increasingly anxious about Mr Adams of whom there has been no trace now for a week.

"We hope that by stopping the public we may jog someone's memory and get some information which can help us find him."
