Strike disrupts school bus runs

Parents have been asked to car-share where possible

Aberdeenshire Council has said about 4,000 pupils will be affected by a strike by Stagecoach staff.

Highland Council said services will not operate as usual on routes to 18 of its schools.

Previously, when industrial action was planned, Aberdeenshire Council asked parents to car-share where possible to avoid congestion at school gates.

Services to the following schools and colleges are affected:

The Invergarry to Lochaber High School bus which is operated from the Inverness depot was expected to operate as normal.

The Lochinver to Ullapool High School service and those in Badenoch and Strathspey area were also due to run.

All services are expected to resume as normal on Wednesday.
