Car plea after road crash deaths

Police investigating a road crash in which two people died have appealed for witnesses in an attempt to trace a car which was in the area at the time.

Two men, aged 23 and 24, died when a car left the carriageway on the A947 in Aberdeenshire at about 2100 GMT on Friday.

It is understood the car plunged down an embankment at an accident blackspot, south of Turriff.

Police want to trace a dark blue, P-registered coupe-style BMW car.
