Walker badly hurt in 200ft fall

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling 200ft while walking in the Devil's Point area of the Cairngorms.

Grampian Police and Braemar Mountain Rescue teams were called out at about midday on Monday.

A helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth also joined the search for the man, who had been walking with two friends.

He was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he has been receiving treatment for a broken neck.

His condition was described as stable.
