The Indian Association of North East Scotland is looking for premises

Moves are under way to set up Aberdeen's first Hindu temple, BBC Scotland has learned.

The Indian Association of North East Scotland is looking for premises, as the closest place for Hindu worship is in Dundee.

The association said plans were at the discussion stage at present but it may approach Aberdeen City Council soon seeking advice on a formal application.

The association's aim is to develop the relationship between communities.
