Alexander's parents do not want his death to be in vain

Relatives of a 12-year-old boy killed on his way home from school have added their voice to calls to stop drivers overtaking school buses.
Fraserburgh Academy pupil Alexander Milne died on Friday after being hit by a car after stepping off a school bus.
His parents said they do not want his death to be in vain.
Alexander's father, Philip Milne, told BBC Scotland: "When there's a school bus on the road everything has to stop, you just do not pass a school bus."
The death of Alexander, who was hit by the car in his home village of Lonmay, near Fraserburgh, came two weeks after Turriff Academy pupil Robyn Oldham, 15, died after being struck by a car moments after getting off a school bus.
Aberdeenshire Council's director of education, Bruce Robertson, said he too will be making representations about an overtaking ban.
Campaigners are also writing to politicians, and are already in contact with Alexander's family.
Pupils at Fraserburgh Academy were being offered support and counselling when they arrived for classes on Monday.
Meanwhile, Grampian Police Ch Insp Tom Forrester spoke out about several recent road deaths in the region.
Respect needed
He said: "It saddens me greatly that yet again people have lost their lives in collisions over the weekend.
"For so long we have encouraged, educated and warned people about the dangers facing them on our roads and yet we still see the misery and heartbreak that collisions cause.
"My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones - we can only begin to imagine what these families are going through."
He explained: "We need all road users to treat our roads with respect and think about the dangers we face on a daily basis. We have all got to work together to stop this carnage now.
"I urge everyone to remember that as road users we all have responsibilities and we all have a part to play in preventing further death and injury."
