Father condemns actions of court

Mr B
'Mr B' has been fighting his own case for the past seven years

An Aberdeen man is calling for compensation and a public inquiry after more than 130 court appearances trying to win contact with his daughter.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has won a Court of Session judgement.

Three judges have ruled that an English Court without jurisdiction awarded the mother the right to keep her daughter.

The judges also overturned rulings by sheriffs in Aberdeen that the case should be heard in the English courts.

The man, identified as Mr B, will now have his case heard in Scotland.

Mr B married his wife in 1996 and their daughter was born a year later. They lived in Aberdeen, but in 2000 his wife moved to London taking their daughter with her without Mr B's consent.

Mr B said he had been through hell but he had now been vindicated.
