Police are searching for a man who went missing after visiting his baby daughter in an Aberdeen hospital.

Grampian Police are looking for Stuart Campbell, 32, but have also launched a separate investigation into the injuries sustained by his daughter.

The baby girl, thought to be a few months old, was admitted to the Royal Aberdeen Children's hospital with unknown injuries.

Mr Campbell went missing from the hospital at about 1010 BST on Tuesday.

His family have said his disappearance is out of character.

Police search teams have been out looking for him and officers have been making inquiries at pubs in Aberdeen city centre.

They have also released a picture of the T-shirt Mr Campbell, of Tannachy Terrrace, Portgordon, was wearing before he went missing.

He has been described as being 5ft 8in tall, with mousy hair and tattooed arms.

The detective leading the inquiry urged Mr Campbell to get in touch.

Det Insp Steward Kidd said: "It is out of character for Mr Campbell to go missing and we are very concerned for his welfare."
