Woman and baby escape car crash

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash on an Aberdeenshire road.

The accident happened on the A920 Pitmedden to Cairnbrogie road just after 1300 BST and left a car on its roof in the middle of the road.

The female driver was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with a suspected arm and possible head injury.

Grampian Police said a 12-week-old baby was thought to have escaped injury. Diversions were put in place.
