Man guilty of young girl offences

A man has been found guilty of a series of sex offences against young girls over a period of several years.

Leslie Hanson, 65, of Drummuir, Moray, carried out sexual assaults against several young girls between 1990 and 1998.

His first victim was 11 when he raped and sexually molested her.

A jury found him guilty after a five-day trial at the High Court in Inverness. Sentencing will take place at the High Court in Edinburgh later.
