Valuable ship propellers stolen

Four brass ship propellers weighing a tonne each and worth a total of tens of thousands of pounds have been stolen from a yard in Aberdeen.

The six-foot wide four-blade propellers were taken from Seletar Shipping on South Esplanade West.

It is thought they may have been stolen for sale as scrap metal.

Grampian Police, appealing for information, said the thieves must have used a lorry with a crane to steal them.
