A 29-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after she was rescued from sea cliffs near Aberdeen.

Police, coastguard and lifeboat crews were called out on Wednesday evening after the woman appeared to have fallen 80ft down the cliffs at Cove.

A RAF helicopter joined the rescue operation and took the woman to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

She was being treated for leg and head injuries which were not thought to be life threatening.
