Two drivers have been taken to hospital for treatment after a crash on the A90.
The serious two-vehicle crash was on the northbound Candy to Northwater Bridge road at about 0745 BST.
One man, 60, who was trapped, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with a suspected back injury after being freed by Grampian Fire and Rescue.
Grampian Police said the other male car driver, 17, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, with a suspected leg injury.
Initials traffic tailbacks later eased.
