Travellers' camp site is cleared
Bulldozers at demolition site
Bulldozers moved in to demolish the site near Elgin
Work has begun on demolishing a former travellers' camp in Moray which was at the centre of a major police operation.

Almost 100 officers were involved in the operation earlier this month at the Chanonry caravan site on the outskirts of Elgin.

Three men have since appeared in court charged with drugs offences, and they will appear again later.

Bulldozers were on site on Wednesday to begin clearing the area, on health and safety grounds.

The council is looking at a number of potential locations as replacements for the Chanonry site.

The Crown Office said the three men who appeared in court last week were expected to appear again on Wednesday afternoon.
