Murder probe into Aberdeen death
A murder inquiry has been launched following the death of a man in Aberdeen, police have confirmed.

Officers were called out to the city's Beattie Avenue on Friday afternoon after receiving reports that a man had been injured in a disturbance.

William Reeve, 41, was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary, but died later.

Grampian Police said a 29-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Mr Reeve's family later issued a statement through police.

In it, his wife described him as a "much loved husband, father, son and brother who will be sorely missed".

She added: "Our hearts feel like they have been ripped out."
