Speeding Grampian drivers caught

More than 100 drivers caught speeding in Grampian over the weekend have been criticised for "ill discipline and selfishness" by disappointed police.

A total of 113 drivers were detected breaking the limit.

Grampian Police said they also caught 11 people drink-driving, including a 20-year-old man who was three times the legal alcohol limit.

Sgt Neil Morrison of the road safety unit said the number of offenders found by increased patrols was "alarming".
