New dental school a step nearer
Dentist and patient
The school would take 15 graduate students in its first year
A new £15m dental school for Aberdeen has taken a major step forward.

The board of NHS Grampian has formally approved a draft business case for the development.

It is hoped the school would help ease the area's shortage of dentists. The school would train 20 students a year, after 15 in the first year.

Public Health Minister Shona Robison said: "The creation of a new dental school in Aberdeen is a major priority for the Scottish Government."
