Man charged over body inside car
Police at the scene
Police appealed for anyone with information to contact them
A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a car in Aberdeen, police have said.

The body of the 45-year-old woman was found inside a silver Renault Megane in Riverside Drive at 1105 GMT on Friday.

Grampian Police said that a 50-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Police are still appealing for information about an earlier incident involving the same car.

They said the Renault was believed to be stationary on the A90 Aberdeen to Stonehaven Road at about 1030 GMT.

Detectives urged anyone who may have seen the car stationary on the inside carriageway of the road to contact police. The woman has been identified but police said no details would be released at present.

The 50-year-old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
