Wards are closed to prevent the virus spreading to new patients
Five hospital wards remain closed to new admissions in Aberdeen due to the norovirus winter vomiting bug.

NHS Grampian confirmed that four of the affected wards are at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the fifth is at Woodend Hospital.

A further two wards are partially closed at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the trust said.

An NHS Grampian spokesman added that 37 patients and nine staff were showing symptoms of the virus.
