Trump team 'confident' over golf
Donald Trump
Mr Trump will hear the latest new for the plans on Tuesday
The Trump Organisation has said it is "very confident" that planning permission for its 1bn Aberdeenshire golf resort will be granted this week.

A team from US tycoon Donald Trump's company is due to arrive later and the proposals for the Menie estate will be considered by councillors on Tuesday.

Some conservationists are still hoping the development will be stopped.

Campaign group Sustainable Aberdeenshire said about 200 people joined a protest march at the weekend.

The march - which left the Ythan Estuary on Saturday morning - was aimed at highlighting what objectors say would be the local implications of the development.

Mr Trump has said he has won the backing of a number of business, tourist and golf experts.

The Trump International Links will feature two championship golf courses alongside 950 holiday homes and several golf villas, if it is approved.

The US billionaire wants to build "the world's greatest" golf attraction.
