Trampoline accident hurts teacher

The teacher was taken from school to hospital
A teacher has been badly injured in a trampolining accident in Aberdeenshire, BBC Scotland has learned.

The member of staff was taken to hospital after the accident at The Gordon Schools in Huntly on Tuesday.

He was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin, then transferred to hospital in Glasgow. He was "serious but stable".

Aberdeenshire Council said that six pupils who witnessed the accident were receiving support. Health and Safety Executive officers have been informed.

The teacher, who has not been named, is understood to have suffered serious back injuries.

The council said its thoughts were with his family.
