Fasola appeals over extradition
Dorothy Fasola
A date has yet to be set for Dorothy Fasola's appeal
An Aberdeen businesswoman who is wanted in Italy to serve a jail sentence is to appeal against her extradition.

A sheriff ruled that Dorothy Fasola, 57, should be sent back to Italy where she had been convicted of organising an armed robbery and counterfeiting.

Ms Fasola - who imports and exports seafood - was remanded in custody at the hearing last month.

Her legal team has now lodged an appeal against the extradition. A date has yet to be set for the hearing.

Ms Fasola has already been convicted of the crimes by a court in Milan. She still has almost five years to serve.
