Four young men were taken to hospital - one by air ambulance - after a serious crash in Aberdeenshire.

Their Subaru crashed into trees on the A97 Huntly to Aberchirder road at about 1910 BST on Wednesday.

One passenger, 19, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. Three others, two aged 21 and the driver, 24, were also hurt.

Grampian Police appealed for witnesses, or anyone who saw the Subaru being driven earlier, to contact them.

All four injured men are from Huntly.
