Tom McNeil allegedly "flirted with everybody"
A former council manager who claims he lost his job for reporting colleagues having sex in an office was a "flirt" himself, a tribunal has heard.

Tom McNeil says he lost his Aberdeen City Council job after telling chief executive Douglas Paterson that two colleagues were involved sexually.

A council official who investigated the claims told the tribunal that Mr McNeil was himself a "sexual harasser".

Alan Towns said: "I found he flirted with everybody."

Mr Towns said he had been told by female staff that Mr McNeil, 52, was trading sexual favours for career advancement in the sports and leisure department.

Mr Towns told the tribunal that Mr McNeil also allegedly used inappropriate language to talk about women.

He said: "I was told about him using the term 'big boobs' to describe a female member of staff.

"Mr McNeil denied he had said this at the time of my investigation."

The hearing continues.
