Hundreds of students and professionals are gathering for a major enterprise event in Dundee.

The Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) is hosting its fourth annual Student Enterprise Summit in the city's Caird Hall on Wednesday.

"Be the Brand" is set to attract 2,000 students and professionals from all over the country.

Speakers at the event will include Prime Minister Tony Blair's ex-media chief Alastair Campbell.

Sharon Bamford, chief executive officer of SIE, said: "With more young people than ever entering higher education and increasing international competition, students require a culture of enterprise to equip them for the 21st Century workplace.

"SIE stimulates and encourages the development of this culture amongst students, preparing them for the graduate arena."

Students will also have the opportunity to meet with and learn from successful student start-ups, enterprise support organisations and social enterprise initiatives.
