Two in court over Aberdeen death

A teenage girl and 40-year-old man have appeared in court charged with the murder of a father in Aberdeen.

The body of Robert Mair, 57, was found two weeks ago at his Northfield home.

Jane McBurnie, 17, of Thetford, Norfolk, and Derek Carswell, of Dreghorn, Ayrshire, made no plea and were remanded in custody.

On Monday, Stephen Rankin, 32, of Darvel, Ayrshire, also appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court accused of murder. He was also remanded.

Mr Mair's body was found at his home address at Kettlehills Crescent, Northfield, on 21 February.
