The man is said to have a possibly Middle Eastern appearance
Images of a man wanted in connection with indecent assaults in Aberdeen have been released by police.

The four attacks took place between September and December last year.

The man is described as aged between 25 and 30, with black curly hair, and having a tanned, possibly Middle Eastern, appearance.

Grampian Police urged anyone who thought they may recognise the suspect in the CCTV pictures, or who had also been attacked, to contact them.

The four assaults took place between 20 September and 23 December.

The first was in Mounthooly Way outside the fire station where a 26-year-old female was indecently assaulted.

The woman managed to break free and the man ran off into the fire station car park.

The second incident happened in a lane off Seaton Walk where a 21-year-old female was indecently assaulted.

Police appeal

She broke free and ran off, leaving her attacker in the lane. He was then seen shortly afterwards within the nearby BP filling station in King Street.

The third incident took place in the female toilets of the Tunnels Nightclub in Carnegie Brae, near Marks and Spencer.

A 26-year-old woman was confronted by a man who entered the toilet area and indecently assaulted her. She pushed him off and he ran out of the building.

Police hope the clear images will be recognised by someone

Then a 21-year-old female was walking in Elmbank Road when she was indecently assaulted before he ran off in the direction of Elmfield Terrace.

Det Ch Ins Mark Cooper said: "It is concerning that there have been four incidents in a fairly short period of time and we are very anxious to trace this man.

"We are also concerned that other females may have been involved in similar incidents but have not reported them and we would appeal to them to contact us as they may have information which could assist the enquiry."

He said that the CCTV images are quite clear and that police were hopeful that someone may recognise the man and contact them.

He added: "We would urge anyone who recognises the man, or thinks they may know him, to contact us."

In one of the CCTV images he is seen wearing a distinctive orange coloured polo neck jumper and blue jeans. In the other he is wearing a light blue denim jacket with fake sheepskin collar.
