Double fire death teenager named
Derek Youngson
Mr Youngson was one of two men who died
One of two men who died in a fire in Fraserburgh has been officially named by police as a local teenager.

Derek Youngson, 19, died alongside another man in a block of flats on the town's Kirk Brae on Hogmanay.

Mr Youngson, of the town's Kinnaird Road, was unemployed. The second victim is still to be named by police.

Grampian Police said the inquiry into the circumstances of the fire was ongoing. Businesses are being urged to come forward with any CCTV footage.

Detectives said it could be weeks before the cause of the fire was known.

The bodies of the two men were found on the top floor of the building.

Four other people were rescued from the fire, which broke out just before noon on Sunday.
