Two dead in tenement flat blaze
Kirk Brae in Fraserburgh
The fire broke out in a tenement just before 1200 GMT
Police have confirmed that two people have died in a fire at a four-storey tenement flat in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

About 30 firefighters tackled the blaze at Kirk Brae, which broke out just before noon on Sunday.

Grampian Police said that a number of people had to be rescued by members of Grampian Fire and Rescue.

Police said enquiries were at an early stage. The names of the dead have not yet been released.
