Two other fire fighters still face disciplinary action
Disciplinary action has been dropped against a firefighter involved in a dispute with senior Grampian officers, BBC Scotland has learned.

The unnamed staff member was one of three suspended by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service for what was described as an internal employment matter.

The move caused anger among colleagues and a motion of no confidence was passed against the chief officer.

The other two workers will face a disciplinary hearing next week.

The original suspensions had been lifted following negotiations between Chief Fire Officer David Dalziel and the Fire Brigades Union (FBU), however disciplinary action continued.

It has now been confirmed by the FBU that no action is to be taken against one of the men.

One of the other men still facing a hearing is FBU local secretary Alan Paterson.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service would only say that an internal investigation was continuing and it would make no further comment at this time.
