Famous pancake man draws students
Pancake film

A student who found fame with his homemade pancakes film has used his success to encourage people to come to Aberdeen University.

James Provan, 23, shot the video in his flat in honour of his favourite snack and placed it on the YouTube website.

It received hundreds of thousands of hits and has been shown to about six million viewers on American television.

The Aberdeen University student was on campus on Tuesday demonstrating his skills for prospective students.

Mr Provan, about to go into his second year in computing science, said of the open day: "I've really enjoyed my time studying here at the University of Aberdeen.

"The technology at the institution is excellent - students have access to great computers, fantastic lecture theatres and notes available in computerised format.

"I have no hesitation in recommending the University of Aberdeen to prospective students."

His pancake clip can be seen on his www.gir2007.com.
