Oxford band Stornoway to play first gig in Stornoway

Stornoway are in Scotland as part of their UK tour

An indie band from Oxford who called themselves Stornoway because they liked the name are to play their first gig in the Western Isles town.

Stornoway, which have previously played live sessions for BBC Radio 1, are on a UK-wide tour.

Their Scottish dates also include Inverness, Ullapool, Aberdeen and Glasgow.

The band - which includes singer Brian Briggs and keyboardist Jon Ouin - will play in Stornoway on Friday.
