Two teenagers have been killed in a car crash in the centre of Inverness. Callum Matheson and Ahlee Jackson, both 17, were in a black Skoda Fabia VRS which crashed as it turned from Island Bank Road into Drummond Crescent. It is believed the car hit a lamppost and a wall before going into a garden where it hit a tree. The road was closed while firefighters cut the pair, who are from Inverness, out of the vehicle and police carried out investigations. The accident happened at about 0920 BST on Sunday. A Northern Constabulary spokesman confirmed: "Following a single vehicle road traffic collision on Island Bank Road, Inverness, one young man and one young female suffered fatal injuries."
