Woman rescued after mountain fall

The woman was airlifted to hospital after falling near Glencoe

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling whilst walking in the Highlands.

Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team and RAF personnel were alerted to the Stob Coire Nam Beith and Stob Coire Nan Lochan area at 1520 GMT on Saturday.

The woman was flown to Bedford Hospital in Fort William by a Royal Navy Rescue helicopter from Prestwick.

She was later transferred to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
