A fashion designer from Fort William is the latest Highlands nominee at this year's Scottish Style Awards.

Judith R Clark, 25, who is now based in Edinburgh, has been nominated in the designer of the year category.

She joins Inverness actress Karen Gillan - the new Doctor Who assistant - who is up for most stylish female.

Western Isles company Harris Tweed Hebrides will pick up the outstanding contribution award at Saturday's ceremony in Glasgow.

The R Bar and Chez Roux, a bar and restaurant in Inverness, have been nominated for awards.

Hotel Hebrides on Harris and Lewis arts venue An Lanntair and Eden Court Theatre in Inverness also hope to pick up accolades.

Ms Clark, who uses Harris Tweed in her designs, said she was honoured to be nominated.

Singer Sophie Ellis Bexter will host the ceremony.
