Noel Clark faces down a Dalek in Dr Who
|
Actor Noel Clarke has spoken of getting frostbite during filming of a new sword-and-sandals movie in the Cairngorms. In an interview with Empire magazine, he said was checked by a member of the shoot's medical team and was found to have the early stages of the condition. Clarke has previously starred in Dr Who with David Tennant and Billie Piper. Centurion - which tells of lost legionaries on the run from Picts - is due for release next March. David Morrissey, who has also previously starred in Dr Who, told Empire how the cast had to contend with freezing temperatures and snow in the Cairngorms. Head shaved Centurion also stars Michael Fassbender, who recently appeared in the film Inglorious, and former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko. Meanwhile, extras are being sought for another Roman era film, Eagle of the Ninth. Kevin Macdonald, who directed Last King of Scotland, has also set his feature in Roman Britain. The film charts an officer's journey into Scotland to recover a lost legion. Men aged between 20 and 40 - and willing to have their heads shaved - have been invited to a casting at the Spectrum Centre in Inverness on 6 October.
