Biker seriously injured in crash

Police have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in the Highlands.

The 28-year-old was involved in a collision on the A99 Reiss to Wick road near Ackergill Tower at about midday on Saturday.

Northern Constabulary said the biker was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

They want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash who has not yet spoken to police.
