Vandals destroy hundreds of eggs

Vandals have been blamed for destroying hundreds of hens' eggs and damaging equipment on a farm at Ardersier, near Inverness.

Police said a hopper was opened leading to the spillage of five tonnes of chicken feed.

Northern Constabulary said the incident happened late last Friday night and was being investigated.

The force has appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident, to get in touch.
