A race where competitors ride a river on airbeds is to be held again after making its return following a five-year absence in 2008.

Entrants in the Glen Nevis River Race in Lochaber must navigate spots called Gurgling Gorge, Leg Breaker and Dead Dog Pool.

Saturday's event will raise money for Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.

The BBC's former Blue Peter presenter John Noakes took part in the race in the 1970s.

The first race in 1973 struggled to raise £25 in donations, while what was thought to be the final event in 2003 collected £10,000.

In previous years, results times have varied from 20 minutes to an hour.
