New campus 'could generate £72m'

Bosses at Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) have urged management at Inverness College UHI to follow through with plans to relocate.

The college is looking at options of moving to a proposed new campus on the outskirts of Inverness or redeveloping the existing Longman site.

Consultants commissioned by HIE have calculated that the region would gain £72m if it relocated.

HIE has drawn up an outline master plan for a "showcase" campus.
