Man found dead in tractor named

A man found dead in a tractor in Dornoch has been named as a local crofter, John Sutherland.

Mr Sutherland, 75, was discovered collapsed in the cab of the vehicle by a member of the public at about 1235 BST on Thursday.

The burn where the accident happened was on a croft about three miles north of Dornoch at Balvraid.

Northern Constabulary said emergency services confirmed the man had died at the scene.

Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
