Housing fair to get fresh funding

Stone House, designed by NORD Architects
The fair will be held in Inverness next August

An exhibition of homes designed to be eco-friendly is to receive £1.9m from the Scottish Government.

The money will help pay for 22 affordable properties on the Scottish Housing Expo site at Milton of Leys in Inverness.

Previously known as the Highland Housing Fair, next August's event will see 55 homes built in total.

The project has been endorsed by Wayne Hemingway, a co-founder of Red or Dead fashion.

Partners in the initiative include the Highland Housing Alliance, Highland Council, Scottish Government and architects.
