New sewer works to affect traffic

Work to lay a new sewer for a proposed housing development at Whiteness, near Inverness, is to start from next week.

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on roads in the surrounding area.

They include routes used by military vehicles going to and from the barracks at Fort George and also the C1005 Muir of Balnagowan to Fort George road.

Highland Council said the work would begin from Monday and could run until 27 March.
